🐾 Beloved Names – A Story of Our Animal Family
Today, our home is shared with two cats:
Shiloh and Coco.
Quiet and warm companions.
Shiloh is a shy cat—just like her name suggests.
She always keeps a gentle distance,
watching the world with eyes that seem to read your heart.
And then there’s Coco.
A wildly quirky two-year-old cat.
She’s fiercely devoted to Mom and Mom alone,
as if her entire universe revolves around that one bond.
But once, when all five of us lived under one roof,
our household included five animals—dogs and cats alike.
Ten souls, living together.
Strangely, or perhaps naturally, each of us had a favorite.
It was as if hearts found their match without effort.
I still miss their names…
Terry, Roy, Andy, Milo, Simba, and Arong.
They weren’t just pets—they were family.
I remember those days vividly.
The yard where we played, the quiet evenings,
and the way each animal nestled into someone’s arms.
Though they now live in memory,
they still fill a warm chapter in our lives.
🐾 그리운 이름들 – 우리 집의 동물 가족 이야기
지금 우리 집에는 고양이 두 마리가 함께 살고 있다.
샤일로와 코코.
조용하고 따뜻한 존재들이다.
조용한 샤일로는 이름처럼 샤이한 고양이다.
늘 한 발 물러서서 조용히 주변을 살피고,
마치 마음을 읽는 듯한 눈빛으로 다가온다.
그리고 코코.
엄청 별난 두 살박이 고양이.
엄마만 밝히는, 철저히 선택적인 애정 표현의 달인.
그녀의 세계엔 엄마만 존재하는 듯하다.
하지만 한때, 우리 가족 다섯 명이 한 지붕 아래 살던 시절엔
개와 고양이까지 합쳐 모두 열 식구였다.
그때 우리 집엔 동물도 다섯 마리나 있었다.
신기하게도, 각자 가장 좋아하는 개와 고양이가 정해져 있었다.
마치 운명처럼, 서로의 마음이 자연스럽게 닿아 있었다.
보고 싶은 이름들…
테리, 로이, 앤디, 마일로, 심바, 그리고 아롱이.
그들은 단순한 반려동물이 아니라, 우리 가족의 일부였다.
그 시절의 따뜻한 풍경이 마음속에 선명하다.
함께 뛰놀던 마당, 조용히 곁에 앉아 있던 저녁,
그리고 각자의 품에 안겨 있던 그 특별한 존재들.
이제는 기억 속에 머물지만,
그들은 여전히 우리 삶의 한 페이지를 따뜻하게 채우고 있다.
