My love for printed words once led me to serve as editor of a church magazine.
Across five issues, it became both a cherished memory and a stage of debate—
between those who saw it as indirect mission, and those who feared wasted expense.
For me, it remains one of the rare, truly good experiences of my life.
종이 인쇄물에 대한 오랜 애착은,
한때 교회 잡지의 편집장을 맡게 한 원동력이었습니다.
다섯 번의 계간지를 발간하며,
간접 선교의 의미와 재정 낭비라는 논쟁 사이에 서 있었지요.
그럼에도 제 인생에서 몇 안 되는 참 좋은 경험으로 남아 있습니다.
Among the fifteen stories once published in that magazine,
I wrote a five-part series called The Road of Alberta.
It captured endless ranches, forests and lakes, snowy hot springs, winding rivers,
and the golden spectacle of Canada’s vast land.
Had I continued that journey, perhaps sixty-six volumes would have been born,
and gathered into a book of their own.

저는 “알버타의 길”이라는 다섯 편의 연재를 실었습니다.
끝없는 목장, 숲과 호수, 눈 내리는 온천, 굽이치는 강물,
그리고 광대한 캐나다의 황금빛 향연을 담아냈지요.
만약 그 일을 계속 이어갔다면, 아마도 예순여섯 권이 쌓였을 것이고,
그 시리즈만으로도 한 권의 책을 펴낼 수 있었을 것입니다.
From 2005 to 2016, across eleven years with brief pauses,
I served as editor of church directories in two congregations.
About ten volumes were created during that time,
each reflecting my enduring passion for the printed word.
This work, too, stands as a testament to my love for publishing.
2005년부터 2016년까지, 두 교회에서 요람 편집을 맡아 약 열 권을 만들었습니다.
그 시간은 저에게 출판에 대한 열정을 담아낸 여정이었고,
종이에 남기는 기록의 의미를 더욱 깊게 깨닫게 했습니다.
이 또한 제 삶에서 출판을 향한 애정의 증거라 할 수 있습니다.
Beyond magazines and directories,
I poured my passion into printed works for retreats and gatherings.
From Father School to various conferences, I created address books and programs,
each page reflecting my enduring love for publishing on paper.
잡지와 요람 외에도,
아버지학교와 여러 수련회 행사마다 주소록과 프로그램을 만들었습니다.
그때마다 종이로 출판하는 일에 유난히 큰 열정을 쏟았고,
한 장 한 장이 제 출판에 대한 애정을 담아낸 기록이었습니다.
