In 2024, my son was married—just one year after my daughter’s wedding. Once again, I prepared photos to be shown at his reception. Instead of creating a slide for each year from age one to thirty-one, I selected twenty photographs, arranged at roughly 1.5‑year intervals, all on a single page. His entire journey of growth was captured there. Memories surfaced—times when he was impossibly stubborn, and other moments when he brought unexpected pride. Those recollections, woven between the photographs, brought tears to my eyes.
2024년, 아들이 장가를 갔다. 딸을 시집보낸 지 꼭 1년 만의 일이었다. 이번에도 피로연에 올릴 사진을 정리했다. 정은이 때처럼 한 살부터 31살까지 매년 한 장씩 슬라이드를 만드는 대신, 한 페이지에 평균 1.5년 간격으로 20장의 사진을 뽑아 담았다. 그 속에는 아들의 성장 과정이 고스란히 녹아 있었다. 한때는 말도 안 되게 말을 듣지 않던 기억도 있고, 또 어떤 순간에는 예상치 못한 뿌듯함을 안겨주던 기억도 있다. 그 모든 추억이 사진들 사이사이에 겹쳐 눈시울을 적셨다.
