A Wire Art Gift to Celebrate a Friend’s New Pharmacy
To celebrate a church friend’s recent pharmacy opening, I created a small wire art sculpture as a heartfelt gift. Using aluminum wire, I handcrafted five symbolic items that represent the pharmacist’s profession. This piece is more than a decorative object—it’s a message of encouragement for their new beginning.
The sculpture includes:
- The Rod of Asclepius, symbol of medicine
- A green cross, commonly used to represent pharmacies in France
- A stethoscope
- A pill
- A mortar and pestle, used for grinding medicine
The entire piece is supported by a cross-shaped base, reflecting both their faith and professional calling. Through the soft curves and vibrant colors of the wire, I hoped to capture the warmth and precision of a healthcare provider. May this gift bring a touch of joy to their pharmacy and carry blessings into their daily work.
약국 개업을 축하하며, 알루미늄 철사로 만든 마음의 선물
최근 약국을 개업한 교회 친구에게 작은 축하의 마음을 담아 wire art를 선물했습니다. 알루미늄 철사를 이용해 약사라는 직업을 상징하는 다섯 가지 아이템을 하나하나 손으로 빚어낸 이 작품은, 단순한 장식품을 넘어 새로운 시작을 응원하는 메시지를 담고 있습니다.
작품에는 다음과 같은 요소들이 담겨 있습니다:
- 의학의 상징인 아스클레피오스의 지팡이
- 프랑스 약국의 상징인 초록색 십자가
- 청진기
- 알약
- 약을 갈 때 사용하는 도구 (절구와 막자)
이 모든 요소를 지탱하는 받침대 역시 십자가 형태로 제작하여, 그분의 신앙과 직업적 소명을 함께 표현하고자 했습니다. 철사의 유연함과 색감이 어우러져 의료인의 섬세함과 따뜻함을 담아내며, 이 선물이 약국 공간에 작은 기쁨과 위로가 되기를 바랍니다.
